Aware systems have been designed to be simple to operate; in fact so simple you can take an
Aware out of the box, turn it on and fly with it straight away.
All airspace updates for the device are FREE and available every 28 days via the Airbox website.
The Aware will improve your situational awareness and warn you of any possible airspace infringements.
Should you become disorientated, the Aware will constantly remind of you of your relative position.
More sophisticated navigation features can be unlocked with an Aware Plus upgrade.
The Aware 5 GPS is a moving map system that gives pilots vital visual and audible warnings if they are
heading towards controlled airspace. Each system comes with the very latest airspace definitions and
CAA 1:500,000 VFR chart for the UK displayed on a crystal clear full colour five inch screen. The larger
screen now gives 30 per cent more screen area than the previous Aware units.
In line with Airbox’ data integrity policy, airspace data has been sourced direct from NATS to
ensure the utmost levels of accuracy and precision.

Airbox Aerospace’s all new Clarity 2.0 is a feature-packed navigation
system with outstanding 800 x 480 pixel five inch screen, ultra-fast
processor and a revolutionary user interface with virtual keyboard data
entry.
Clarity 2.0 is the ultimate aviation GPS for planning and navigating
VFR flights, using charts pilots will instantly recognise whilst enhancing
situational awareness before and during a flight.
The Airbox enhanced user-interface makes complex route planning second
nature; type in an ICAO identifier or airfield name and your destination
is set, press and click the map to add airspace avoiding waypoints.
The planning process really couldn’t be any simpler.
Clarity 2.0 comes with the powerful PC desktop flight-planner, Fastplan,
allowing complex route planning to take place from the comfort of your
own home. With Fastplan, users can download the latest weather and NOTAMs,
update charts the moment they’re released and make weight and
balance calculations which are then conveniently compiled into a handy,
printable flight pack. Flight plans can be filed instantly using Rocket
Route’s filing services backed up by a 24/7 support team (Service
currently operational in Europe only)
In flight, Clarity 2.0 presents the pilot only with the information
vital to the flight. And nothing more than that because Airbox believes
in not over featuring its products but instead making systems that don’t
confuse or baffle the aviator. We really want this to be the easiest
GPS you’ve ever used!
Stored routes can be loaded from the system memory, current routes
edited in-flight with ease and, if the need arises, a nearest airfields
option can be selected to help ease a change of plan. A complete 3D
terrain database is available to give a heads-up on terrain ahead up
to 20NM away from your current position.
The Clarity 2.0 will warn pilots of any potential airspace infringements
up to five minutes ahead of the aircraft’s current position. All
warnings are relative to the aircraft’s flight level and take
into consideration whether the aircraft is climbing, descending or drifting
towards airspace. The data that produces the airspace updates is updated
every 28 days in accordance with the AIRAC cycle and provided free by
Airbox Aerospace for the life of the product.
On approach and within 10NM of your final destination, extended runway
centre-lines are produced easing the pilot into a precision approach.
Geo-referenced Approach plates for airfields (where available) can be
quickly accessed showing detailed runway layouts, dimensions and useful
information for your destination.
Clarity 2.0 logs all your flights so you have a useful record of previous
activities. When synchronised with Fastplan, the flight data is transferred
to your PC and can be viewed on the Fastplan map screen or in Google
Earth.
Each unit comes with suction mount, 12/24v power supply cable, plug
socket for charging in the home, USB cable and SD card reader (for data
transfers between the Clarity 2.0 and a PC or laptop), and a copy of
Fastplan PC desktop flight-planning software.
UK ICAO 1:500,000 and 1:1000,000 Bossy France charts are installed
as standard on each unit with many other global chart options available.
Pilots are able to instantly cross reference their position on the GPS
with the paper chart beside them. Other charts are availabe as Options
