BACK UP INSTRUMENTS
LX Navigation COMBI
The unit has built in sensor for IAS and a precise digital altitude sensor for altitude and variometer. The display
is a combination of a sunshine readable colour graphic display and a mechanical need le driven by a stepper motor.
Input of QNH is realized after using of an external rotary switch. BUILT IN POWER SUPPLY
The unit receives its power from the aircraft main battery during normal operation. After a main power break emergency power
will automatically take over and power the unit and the change over from main to emergency power is without power break. After
emergency power is on and air speed is detected the unit will receive power from emergency battery until it is exhausted after
about 2 hours. If no speed signal is detected this is interpreted by the system as meaning that the aircraft is on the ground
and the emergency power will be switched off. This automatic operation is to relieve the pilot of any need to manage the system.
An intelligent charger recharges the battery during normal operation in flight so the unit is always kept topped up.

FUEL CONTROL (for microlights; not TSO or EASA approved)
Funkwerk-avionics
The Funkwerk-avionics designed and developed FuelConC is both
a Fuel Flow sensor and a computer that gives consumption rate
and the quantity of fuel remaining. It features double verification
of the tank indicator through the calibrated fill level transmitter
and the volumetric flow rate sensor. It displays consumption in
both litres per hour and litres per 100 Km. Add an external GPS
sensor and the effect of the wind can then be assessed and the
optimum power setting for maximum range calculated. A further
feature is the ability to derive the effective tank measurement
of the fill level transmitter whereby a single calibration procedure
can compensate for all non-linearity in both the shape of the
tank and the transmitter.
Principal features
- 57 mm panel cut-out
- 80 mm long
- Two line LCD to show fuel flow and remaining fuel
- Easy to use
- Insensitive to fuel slosh in the tank

LX 707 GPS Navigation System & Flight Recorder
GPS Navigation System with very high accuracy built in Pressure
Transducer, SD card interface, Approach Mode, Flight Recorder,
GSM Modem Interface and with option of built in Flarm warning
system and potentially the option of integrating an ADS-B proximity
warning system.
General
The LX 707 is derived from the proven LX 500
system that is fitted to the fleet of Grob 115Es (Tutors) operated
by the Royal Air Force as well as from the LX 7007 glider flight
management system. It offers in an all-in-one package a practical
point to point navigation system with a database of airfields
and airspace built in but, compared to the LX 500, the LX 707
has the important addition for the General Aviation community
of a high accuracy pressure transducer (as used in glider flight
recorders) that enables the LX 707 to provide an airfield approach
capability with both localiser and glide path information, albeit
without certification, without the need for a differential GPS
ground station. The addition of this separate height sensor, which
can be set to QNH or QFE, moves the on-board GPS from a simple
navigation assistant to one that can have real benefit for the
final approach to a waypoint or airfield after the input of runway
data.
Features
- 80 mm diameter
- 85mm long 125 mm total length including connectors
- Weight approx 550 g
- Power requirement: 10 – 28VDC, approx 200mA
Options include
- Remote stick top control

MGL AVIONICS
MGL avionics is a South African avionics development company with a wide range
of flight systems from colour EFIS to digital engine instruments and more.
MGL Stratomaster XTreme EFIS
This low
cost unit is based on a 4.2" sunlight readable, wide viewing angle,
high resolution LCD display. It integrates SD card reader, function
buttons, rotary control, display and a 65 channel high performance GPS
system (aerial supplied).
Able to connect to existing engine sensors (or add additional sensors)
via an optional MGL RDAC module mounted in the engine bay. Will also
connect to AHRS like SP-7 and SP-5 and compass SP-6. Without these sensors
the horizon will still work by using software based GPS track derived
information and the displayed heading is the GPS track.
The XTreme
is designed to fit a standard 3.1/8" round instrument hole. The body
is located off-centre allowing the unit to replace instruments on the
right side of a standard 6-pack configuration or any other location
that currently occupies two instruments.
Due to the light weight and very low mounting depth no complicated mounting
brackets or trays are needed. Power use is low and operation from much less than
12V to around 28V is fully supported without further items required.
The XTreme breaks new ground in current un-certified (experimental/ permit to
fly) EFIS technology as it is a universal platform and can run many different MGL
application programs, much like you can do on a home computer by installing
different software. This means that functionality is not fixed to what you have at
the time of purchase (like a Dynon EFIS). There will be upgrades to existing
application programs, and it is likely that entirely new applications, that extend
the area of functionality into new regions, are possible in the future for this
remarkable, highly flexible unit.

Dynon EFIS-D6
Because some like to keep it simple, Dynon offers this basic,
even more affordable Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS).
Perfect for pilots who want to save panel weight, space, and installation
time compared to a conventional analogue gauges.
The EFIS-D6 fits into a standard 3-1/8"
panel hole, making it an ideal candidate for replacing vacuum
and electric attitude indicators.

Key safety features include Dynon's optional Angle-of Attack/
Pitot design that alerts pilots of potential stall conditions
and an optional Li-ion backup battery which will keep the instrument
running for 2 hours in the event of a power bus failure.
Advanced ADAHRS
Dynon's advanced ADAHRS (Air Data, Attitude and Heading Reference
System) integrates over a dozen solid-state sensors that deliver
exceptional performance and reliability. With the exception of
the remote compass, the ADAHRS is built inside the EFIS-D6 instrument
housing, saving installation time and space. Each ADAHRS undergoes
a rigorous calibration regime at the factory to ensure accuracy
over its full operating range. Unlike mechanical gyros, Dynon's
rugged design is tolerant to aggressive flight manoeuvres, automatically
corrects itself anytime its gyros' capabilities are exceeded and
cannot be damaged by aerobatics or unusual attitudes.
Reliable Operation
Dynon's EFIS-D6 utilizes an embedded, multi-processor design
that delivers real-time performance and stability. This purpose-built
design is unencumbered by burdensome operating systems that typically
slow down performance and require long boot times. Dynon's software
design enables complete control to maximize execution speed and
deliver robust reliability. A hallmark of the EFIS-D6's performance
and a great safety feature is its ability to display the correct
attitude within a few seconds of being powered on while in flight.
Safety Features
A key safety feature available from Dynon is its optional AOA/Pitot
design that combines Angle-of Attack (AOA) and Airspeed into a
single pitot design. The AOA capability assists pilots on approaches
and generates an alert signal for audible annunciation whenever
nearing stall conditions. This pitot is available in heated and
non-heated versions.
To guard against a power failure scenario, the EFIS-D6 may be
optionally equipped with a Li-Ion Backup Battery ( £95.00
plus VAT). When power loss is detected, the instrument will automatically
notify the pilot and immediately begin running on battery power
for a minimum of 2 hours to enable a safe landing.
Items supplied with each EFIS-D6 include:
· EFIS-D6 Instrument
· Remote Compass
· Installation Guide (download
