Maintenance alert:
Two instances have occurred of failure of the fitting at the top end of the gas strut
(next to the black cylinder). The failure has been initiated by the fitting becoming
unscrewed sufficient to allow it to flex on its shaft leading to fracture of the shaft.
Please check the fittings on your wing dolly and tighten them up as required
Standard Model
The standard model is suitable for most single seat gliders and some two-seaters. It is 200mm wide and is fitted with a 250 newton (or 400 newton on request) heavy duty gas strut and has plenty of adjustment for different wing heights. Two locking clips are now standard.
Racing Glider Model
Moulded to fit the Ventus 2 and other racing gliders with thin wing profiles, this heavy duty dolly is the answer where the dolly is best mounted inboard rather than at the wing tip to enable wings-level towing out. Fitted with a heavy duty 400 newton gas strut, the moulding is 300 mm wide to prevent the dolly twisting sideways on the wing when in use and causing damage. Two locking clips. It can be partially collapsed for easy storage..
Larger Glider Model
Fits most large 2-seaters - eg Duo Discus, DG 1000, ASK 21
Specially
designed to fit just inboard of the wing junction and made wide enough
at 300mm at the rear to prevent the dolly twisting sideways on the wing
when in use and causing damage to the wing lower surface. Fitted with
a 400 newton gas strut. Two locking clips. It can be partially collapsed
for easy storage.

Grob G 103 (Acro) Model
With
a flexible GRP front hinge and two heavy duty clips at the rear this
dolly is made for demanding use; it is 300 mm wide and fits at the wing
tip of the G 103. The shells are lined with vinyl as opposed to foam
as on the other models. It can be partially collapsed for easy storage.
Towing Arm
Ultra
light and tough. Manufactured from quality aluminium and with special
design offset hinge for short length when folded but superior strength
when extended. Specify glider type (but standard model fits almost all
gliders that use a conventional tail dolly). Extension bolt for tail
dolly wheel is included.
