NEW PRODUCT - LX`s Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery Pack

Metal hydride batteries do not suffer from the drawbacks of conventional
sealed batteries of intolerance of being fully discharged and the inability
to deliver a high current. They deliver more voltage, more capacity, are
lighter and come in various packages the same size as the more common
12v 7Ah batteries in general use.
LX avionics is introducing a range of these batteries, the latest of
which is shown below.
LX`s Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Battery Pack
This unit, developed by LX avionics Ltd and Bicester Aviation Services,
uses proprietary metal hydride cells that are installed in a bespoke
container exactly the same size as the commonly used 12v 7Ah gel cell.
This new unit gives 12v 9Ah and is a direct replacement for the 12v 7Ah gel cell and
will deliver more power for longer periods for the same size! It is available
with either the connector on a cable or with the connector socket built
in.

Metal Hydride Battery Units
EB 14/9 (14VDC 9AH). Supplied in lightweight aluminium box with
base plate for permanent fixture to the aircraft, test meter,
connector, and quick release system for attachment to the base
plate.

Power Supply (EB12/7)
Ideal for aircraft without a power supply, this 12v 7Ah removeable
battery box comes with base plate for mounting in the aircraft
and into which the battery box is then fixed. Unit is fused and
has LED battery state indicator. Lockable connector. Supplied
with 12V 7Ah battery.
