Upgrade your LX 7000 to the latest LX 7007 standard with a faster processor and more features., SD Card now included.

A special feature of the LX range of flight computers is that they can be upgraded to later versions of both firmware and software and in some cases they can have new faster processors and other improvements installed. As there are many versions of the LX 5000 in use in the UK the range of potential upgrades available is too extensive to list here; contact LX avionics Ltd for a quotation for your instrument but have the s/n and firmware version available when you call or e mail.

For information, a version 6 to version 9.3 upgrade costs £265.00 plus VAT (£311.379 incl VAT),(plus carriage to and from LXnavigation). Turn round time is just over two weeks but about 10 days if UPS is used (extra cost).

The recommended upgrade is LX 5000 version 11

This provides the new high definition screen (as fitted to the LX 7000) with a definition close to that of a PDA and a range of operating improvements including enhanced AAT capability and, in addition, version 11 models will be able to accept some later updates to the LX 7000 thus enabling you to keep your LX 5000 fully up to date as improvements come along. Prices vary depending on the model that is being upgraded. Turn around time is just over two weeks, but if UPS delivery (more expensive) is used then a 10 day period can be achieved. Modifications of just software alone can often be carried out in the UK with a very quick turn round; typically less than a week.
